After more than a decade celebrating and recognising the dedication and commitment of individuals and groups for their efforts to get more Australians cycling – the Cycling Promotion Fund Awards are going Global!

The once-in-a-generation opportunity to partner with Velo-City Global 2014 in Adelaide this May means two new international awards will be launched under the banner ‘Cycling Luminaries Awards’, Leadership and First Nations.

The Cycling Luminaries Awards will showcase achievements to a global audience and international category winners will be recognised here in Australia.

Mr Peter Bourke, General Manager of the Cycling promotion Fund said, "Through Velo City 2014, the spot-light will be on Australian cycling culture and the Cycling Luminaries Awards are the opportunity to showcase the ‘Tales worth telling, tales worth celebrating’.

The Awards build on the success of twelve years of the CPF’s Australian Bicycling Achievement Awards and the most recent Awards held in Vienna at Velo City in 2013. They will be the premier awards globally for cycling advocacy in 2014.
